Bible Study/Discussion
2nd and 4th Monday 7:00 PM
Memorial Lounge
STUDY/DISCUSSION GROUP….. Monday, September 27th at 7:00 p.m. a Bible discussion group will meet in the Memorial Lounge. It will be guided by Pastor Roberts. First, we ask everyone who reads this to life up this ministry in prayer. Second, we pray the Holy Spirit to lead you to participate in this discussion. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Roberts or call the Church Office.
Hebrews is certainly a book for disciples. It stirs our faith and nips at our heels when we get lazy in our walk. It helps us see Jesus in a new way. And it enables us to understand the role of suffering to discipline and train us up as Jesus’ disciples. Though Hebrews discusses at length Old Testament themes of sacrifice, forgiveness and Israel’s high priest, it isn’t about these things. Ultimately, the Letter to Hebrews is a lens that focuses all our attention of Jesus Christ—who he is in both his humanity and divinity, and what he has done for us now and forever. Hebrews is both a challenge and a joy. Are you up to the journey? Again, beginning Monday, September 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Lounge we will be discussing and studying the book of Hebrews. Everyone from our community is welcome to attend.

New Men’s Bible Study to Begin Thursday, January 27 at 7:00 PM
At the Forty Fort United Methodist Church
“Captured by Grace; No One is Beyond the Reach of a Loving God”
by Dr. David Jeremiah
“Captured by Grace” is all about the multifaceted jewel of grace. It will open up vistas of grace you may be unfamiliar with. Most Christians know they were saved by grace, but are not aware that they live by grace. Have you been Captured by Grace? If your Christian life is not what you know it could and should be, it may be lacking in grace.”
This Thursday Evening Men’s Bible study will begin this new study on Thursday, January 27th at 7:00 PM. They meet in the “Memorial Lounge” of the church located at the corner of Wyoming and Yeager Avenues in Forty Fort. If you are interested in joining this study we invite you to join us and please feel free to bring a friend. This Bible study is open to all men, 18 and older and you do not need to be a member of our church to join this study. This is a 10 week study. The cost of the book is $10.00. Thursday Women's Bible Study
New Women’s Bible Study Beginning Thursday, March 31
You say “I don’t know how or what to pray,” study the Psalms with us!
Also known as the “prayer book of the Bible” the Psalms are perfect to help you praise God and present your petitions to Him.
New Women’s Bible Study Beginning Thursday, March 31 at the Forty Fort United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Wyoming and Yeager Avenues in Forty Fort. “Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent” by Beth Moore. This is a study of Psalms 120-134. Just as a song or poem can express feelings of fear, doubt, hope, and joy, these 15 psalms model how we can voice our own petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us. Psalms 120 to 134 are called “Pilgrim Psalms” or “Songs of Ascent.” They were sung by those who journeyed to the great festivals of the LORD and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. Thus they “ascended” to the Temple for the annual feasts. Each Psalm is a “step” along the journey. Psalm 120 begins the journey in a distant land, in hostile surroundings. Psalm 122 pictures the pilgrims arriving in Jerusalem and the rest of the Psalms move toward the Temple, mentioning various characteristics of God.
Explore the major feasts of Israel and journey through the Psalms with this 7-session study. Themes of unity, joy, gratitude, redemption, repentance, the power of blessings, facing ridicule, and more are explored in detail. Modern-day believers in Jesus Christ can learn much from these treasured Psalms in their journey toward greater intimacy with God.
This study will begin on Thursday, March 31 and conclude on Thursday, May 19 (No class on Holy Thursday, April 21) If you have any questions or to sign up for this class please call the church office at 287-3840. Class times are 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM; the evening class is a 2 hour class. The cost for this class is $13.00 to cover the cost of the workbook.
