Healing Ministry

The last Sunday of each quarter our church has a holistic healing worship in connection with our contemporary worship. It is holistic in nature, which means healing for the spirit, the body, the mind. During worship people are asked to come to the altar and share their need ( if they are comfortable in doing this with the pastor). The pastor anoints them with oil he along with his wife who represents the congregation lay their hands upon the person and offer prayer. People are encouraged to come forward for themselves or they can stand in for someone. During worship there are often some witness given to healings that have taken place.

Covenant Nurturing Ministry

This is a group of dedicated caring lay people who have covenanted together to visit the shut ins of the church and community. They do so on behalf of our church and they offer prayer, comfort, and Christian love. This Covenant group also offers the opportunity for Eucharistic ministries. Training is provided for both this ministry of visitation and Sacrament.

Prayer Shawl Ministries

Every Tuesday Evening a group of dedicated Christian women gather in our churches Memorial Lounge and spend and hour or so knitting and praying. The results of these ladies gifts and graces are prayer shawls. These prayer shawls are blessed, anointed, and dedicated at our holistic healing worship and given to those who have need of them. We have been able to offer these wonderful prayer shawls that offer warmth, comfort, support and love to over 500 people who had need of them. If you would like to know more about this ministry and how to become involved call 287.3840

This is open to all women of any age that would like to share in prayer, knitting and fellowship. These women meet in the Social Hall to knit and pray, once the shawls are completed they are then blest and anointed with oil during a special healing service then they are given out to those in need of prayer. If you know of someone that is hurting in body, mind or spirit and could use a prayer shawl, please contact the church office. If you would like to knit or crochet but cannot attend the knitting group, you can still contribute to this special prayer/healing ministry.

Love and Respect Seminar

Our church will host a seminar for couples based on Ephesians 5:33 "Husbands must love their wives and wives must respect their husbands." Dr. Emerson Eggerich & his wife, Sara, host this seminar. During these two days, we will watch his conference via DVD's and answer questions in a workbook. This seminar is not just for couples but also for men and women in general to learn through Epehesians how God created Man and Woman differently, "not wrong, just different." Through this, we hope to help men and women to understand where the other one is coming from in their mannerisms and communication. The teaching is Biblical and based on scripture. Snacks & soda will be provided,Friday (6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.) and a continental breakfast and sandwiches will be served on Saturday (9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.) We will end this seminar with a Worship Service with Pastor Don Roberts. The cost of this two-day seminar is $10.00 per person. If for some reason your budget does not allow, please privately speak to Rev. Roberts and arrangements will be made so that you can participate. If you have any questions please call the Church office at 570-287-3840
