Traditional Worship 10:00am

Our Worship is not about what we can get out of the service, but what we can do to Worship the Lord! It is all about Him! We use the gifts and graces that the Lord has blessed His church with by using a multi media projection system, DVD's and computer technology to project images and words relating to the scriptures and service. Our children are not forgotten either! Pastor Don has a special “Time for Our Children” in which all of the children of the church go to the Altar where he shares a Bible lesson with them. He then gathers them together to bow their heads, close their eyes, fold their hands and be very quiet so that they can hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit as he prays over them. The children are then given a special remembrance of the daily Bible lesson to keep as a reminder of the awesomeness of God. Traditional hymns are sung in praise in and worship to God

Contemporary Pre-Worship Music 9:45am
Sept to June

Our Contemporary Worship is held every Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M. and is very uplifting! (Dress is casual) This service also uses the same multi media & computer technology as the morning service but also features our Contemporary Worship Team, “Prevenient Grace.” This team is made up of singers, guitarists, a violinist and even the maracas! We sing contemporary songs and some traditional hymns that get the entire congregation involved. It is truly a WORSHIP service where you can feel free to lift your hands in praise and clap as the Spirit moves you! The “young and young at heart” at the Contemporary Worship also received a special remembrance of the Bible message. At each service Pastor Don challenges you to read the Word, live the Word and share the Word with others as Disciples of Christ. He follows wherever the Holy Spirit leads him in his preaching and sometimes this can be very convicting, which is the Holy Spirit speaking to you. The Forty Fort United Methodist Church is a very strong Bible based and Spirit filled church. Our Worship Services are Ecumenical and open to all!

There are many opportunities for Lay ministry in our worship services. Here are a few and how you can become involved.

Lay readers. Each Sunday during Traditional Worship a lay person reads the Scripture readings for the day. There is a sign up sheet in the rear of the Sanctuary. If God has given you the gifts and graces for this worship ministry all you need to do is sign up under the designated Sunday. The readings are usually available at the church office no later than Wednesday.

Choirs. We have a variety of choirs at our church.

Chancel Choir . Rehearsal is every Thursday at 7:30 PM. It helps if you can read music but it is not necessary. Our choir is a volunteer choir and through the capable gifts of our Choir director we give of ourselves in this ministry If our Lord has blessed you with a voice and desire to praise the Lord with it come on out. If you have any questions about this choir contact Mr. Garry Grice Director of Christian Music, or Pastor Roberts.

Adult Bell choir . Rehearsal is every Thursday at 6:30 PM. If you can count you are welcome to come and explore this ministry and see if it is a way you can use the talents given to you by God to bring Praise to worship.

Youth Chime choir . This choir usually meets after Sunday School on Sundays. For more information contact Pastor Roberts, Saundra Colwell, or Garry Grice.

Sunday School Choir . This choir is made up of our younger Sunday School students. It usually meets just prior to Sunday School on announced Sundays.

Exit Greeters. The task is to attempt to recognize new people or those who are seeking a community of believers to worship with. Exit greeters help staff our welcoming center and offer brochures church indexes and DVD'S. There are sign up sheets for both entrance and exit greeters in the rear of the Sanctuary. Sign up or see Jim or Jeanine Pliit or Pastor Roberts on how to become a part of these ministries.

Acolytes . Our young people bring the light of Christ into our worship during the singing of our first hymn. Usually this ministry is open to any young person in third grade or up. For information contact. Cheryl Gasper, Barbara Spriggs, or Pastor Roberts.

Outside Informal Pavilion Worship
July and Aug

This Worship Service is held at 8:30 AM in the outside picnic pavillion in the rear of the church, Yeager Avenue side. This is a very contemporary and uplifting worship experience. Dress is summer casual.

Time with Children

Each Sunday our pastor takes a special moment to bring the grace of worship to our young people. After a story or message that connects with the scriptures of the day each young persons receives a special gift to take home and help them remember the worship theme. These gifts are always something special, sometimes pins, cookies, magnets, tattoos, puzzles, bookmarks, stickers, small toys, balls, ink pens, clay, noise makers, and much more. Our young people never know what is going to in the pastors bag.  There is always a great deal of excitement and enthusiasm at the altar. It always ends with a prayer, where our young people are taught the attitude of prayer. We fold our hands, bow our heads, close our eyes, and are very quiet so we can hear the Spirit of God. Sometimes there are even gifts for the adults. At the Forty Fort United Methodist church we encourage the involvement of your children in our worship. Come and join us!
